Born out of the DIY punk and hardcore scene, SHORELINE have made their way to become one of the most relevant bands of the genre in Germany.
After their debut LP Eat My Soul (2019, Uncle M Music), the following full-length Growth (2022, End Hits Records) and countless shows as support act for bands like Boysetsfire, Silverstein or Hot Water Music, SHORELINE signed with US label heavyweight Pure Noise Records in 2023 as the first European band ever.
2024 saw the release of their latest album To Figure Out, followed by not only international tours with Knuckle Puck or Spanish Love Songs, but also an almost completely sold out release tour culminating in the biggest headline show to date with around 600 tickets sold.
SHORELINE’s music is a balancing act between hardcore influences of the 2010’s (Touche Amore, Title Fight) and newer pop-punk and emo (Arms Length, Anxious), characterized by the wide dynamic of singer Hansol Seung’s vocals, ranging from very soft, intimate whispers (Loose Contacts) to straight up hardcore shouting (Darius).
The band has always been openly political in its content and, in addition to animal rights/veganism, repeatedly addresses anti-Asian racism and Hansol Seung's path to finding his identity as a second-generation Asian-European immigrant.
