What's happening at Easter 2025? - Events in Bremen
The Easter bunny is gradually painting the first eggs, spring is in full swing & you're looking for the best Easter event in Bremen ? A match made in heaven. 🐰
Easter is relatively late this year. On the one hand, this means that you have to wait a long time before you can finally go hunting for delicious chocolate Easter bunnies, but it also means that the probability of 20 degrees and sunshine in Bremen is not zero. 🥰
Well, if that's not reason enough to get a good overview of the best events and happenings in Bremen over Easter 😏.
Bremen has a lot to offer at Easter 2025 & we show you the best Easter highlights! Then all you have to do is look for eggs. 🥚
An absolute highlight is the Easter meadow on Bremen's Bürgerweide. This folk festival attracts over a million visitors every year and offers everything your heart desires with over 200 showmen: from fast-paced rides and delicious food stalls to traditional stalls. Here you can feast on candy floss, roasted almonds and bratwurst while you climb to dizzying heights or enjoy nostalgic carousel rides. 🎢
Of course, traditional Easter customs are also a must. Easter bonfires are held in many districts of Bremen 🔥 to drive away winter and welcome spring. These sociable evenings by the fire are perfect for meeting up with friends, roasting bread on sticks and enjoying the first balmy evenings of the year.
And for those who prefer something a little more sporty: how about a bike ride along the Weser? The fresh spring air, the chirping of the birds and the blossoming nature make a bike tour a special experience. Along the way, numerous cafés and beer gardens invite you to take a break for coffee and cake. 🚲
So, grab your loved ones, pack your sunglasses and get ready for an unforgettable Easter weekend in Bremen. Because there's guaranteed to be something for everyone here - and not just for the egg hunt! 🐰🌷

Maundy Thursday in Bremen
The day that kicks off the long weekend. Tomorrow is free, so you have every reason to go out. Welcome the Easter weekend in Bremen with a party, or take a more relaxed approach with a visit to the theater. Whatever you decide: Have fun!
Ps.: Did you know that the term "Maundy Thursday" has nothing to do with the color? Rather, "green" is a remnant of an old language. Here, "grunen" or "greinen" meant something like "to weep". So Maundy Thursday is actually for weepers. (I would cry too if I had given up chocolate since Christmas)
QUEER BUNNIES
Maundy Thursday gives you the opportunity to really party on a Thursday. How about the biggest queer Easter party in northern Germany? So hop on the dance floor, enjoy the time & celebrate yourself, your friends and life! 🐰
Solange wir leben
Based on my girlfriend's absolute favorite novel by author David Safier, who incidentally comes from Bremen, you can see "As long as we live" at Theater Bremen. A heartbreaking story about the time of National Socialism in Bremen. Important for history, heavy for the heart. 🎭
Kunst gegen Bares Bremen
How about some art on Maundy Thursday? Various musicians, magicians, actors & other talented people show what they can do on a stage. Each act gets their own piggy bank. At the end of the show, you can throw cash into their piggy bank based on how much you enjoyed their performance. 💰
Good Friday in Bremen
As one of nine public holidays, every single German state has today off. That includes you. That doesn't just sound super nice, it is. You finally have time to eat the chocolate Easter bunnies you bought, or to paint Easter eggs, oooooor you can go out and have a really good time in Bremen!

Taste The Town - Kulinarische Stadt(ver)führung - Die Vierteltour
While Good Friday means closed doors in many places, it also means open mouths. On the culinary city tour through the district, you will be spoiled for choice, learn something about Bremen & enjoy one culinary delight after another. 😋
Easter Saturday, Sunday & Monday in Bremen
Now the events are thrown together a bit because everyone wants to have time off and there just isn't that much going on. Besides, there's always a lot going on with the family at Easter in Bremen. Nevertheless, there are one or two events here that are great to go out to.
Disney/Kindheits Party
A childhood party is not a party for children. Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane & experience a trip down memory lane with lots of other people. Old Disney classics that will warm your heart, Nickelodeon themes that will take you back to your early teenage years & simply a big dose of partying. 🥳
Osterbrunch in der Dachstuuv
Are you in the mood for a sumptuous breakfast on Easter Sunday, but don't feel like inviting your whole family over or driving to Aunt Irmgard's in Buxtehude? Then you've come to the right place. Grab your favorite person & enjoy a delicious breakfast with a view over the Weser in the old Kelloggs towers. 🥓
OSTERBRUNCH 20. APRIL MIT LIVE MUSIK & KIDS-KINO
If you have a few little ones with you, then this event is the right one for you. At The Lobby Restaurant you'll get a nice Easter brunch with live music & a kids' movie for the bambinis. So you can spend your Sunday relaxing & enjoying culinary delights. 🐇
