What's happening in February? - Events in Bremen
We leave January behind us and thus also close the first monthof 2024. Another cold winter month over and one less to go until summer finally returns. And even though the summer months are the best for getting out and about, February has plenty to tempt you and me out of the door and into Bremen's lively cultural life.
So buckle up and hold on tight - here are the highlights of February in Bremen.
»Ort & Un-Zeit« Of Curious Nature, Antonio de Rosa & Mattia Russo (Kor'sia)/ Helge Letonja
🩰 Dance and choreography with a lot of meaning and impact. An event that not only tries to entertain, but also to stimulate thought.
CLOCKCLOCK DREAMERS TOUR 2024
🎙 The three guys from Mannheim have caused quite a stir in recent months and years. And if you think you don't know ClockClock, you're wrong. Last year, for example, nobody could get past their smash hit 'over'.
Matt & Basti
🧒 February in Bremen also offers the finest entertainment for the little ones. Matt & Basi do children's songs and do them really well. This is classic fun for young and old.
Gardi Hutter: Die Souffleuse
🤣 Gardi Hutter has developed her very own clown style and has now created 8 different clown theater pieces. She is now performing at the Bremen Shakespeare Company to put a smile on the faces of young and old alike.
Ein Stück Gegenwart - Selma Kay Matter
📖 If you like good literature, this is just the thing for you. Winner of the Nestroy Prize, author Selma Kay Matter reads from her new work and sheds light on the complex interrelationships of the climate crisis. However, not only in the form of a reading, but also in the form of a discussion with the audience.
Kabeaushé & Sibb
🎶 Incomparable sound paired with an appearance that is worthy of note. That's how I would describe what's in store for you. If you're either a fan or open to new experiences, then you'll love this evening. This is Kabeaushé & Sibb at the Schwankhalle

Valentine's Day: ideas & gifts
💝 It was just Christmas and now it's Valentine's Day again. Another tradition that has been enslaved to absolute commercialism. And yet another perfect opportunity to show your loved ones how much you love them. But just like at Christmas, we often lack the right inspiration. To help you out, we've put together some great ideas for the day of love.
Public SpaceOsterdeich
28203 Bremen
🏃♂️ There are no limits to creativity here. Take a relaxed stroll from the Weserstadion towards the Schlachte, enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. Once you arrive at the Schlachte, you can head to a restaurant and round off the evening with a delicious dinner. This is how romance works.
Candlelight Dinner im Ratskeller
🍷 Toast each other and unwind in a wood-panelled room where business deals were made between merchants and captains many years ago. The Ratskeller once again offers highly exquisite food in a unique ambience with a historical context.
Schauburg Bremen
🎥 The classic date idea comes with extra charm in one of Bremen's movie theaters. Attend a movie screening at the Schauburg, the Gondel, the Atlantis or the City 46 to whisk your favorite person away for a relaxing evening with delicious popcorn.
Hochzeitshaus im Schnoor
💘 Fall asleep and wake up romantically in the beautiful Schnoor and live a piece of medieval history. Back then, you had to prove that you could afford a place to stay in the big city in order to be married in the cathedral. To this end, small apartments were rented out to newlyweds from the countryside.
🎁 The best Valentine's Day gift!
The best gifts are memories. Memories that connect you with each other. Something you experienced together and something that remains unforgettable. Something that you will still be saying many years from now: "Do you remember when we...?" And we have just such a gift for you!
Give the person you love most in the world a memory that you will never forget. Give them a voucher for a Geheimkonzerte.
Carnival in Bremen (?)
Normally, the classic carnival in Bremen culminates in normal everyday life. Dressing up, making out with other people and celebrating carnival is not really necessary. But if you do fancy it, the permanent representative has something for you:
Weiberfastnacht mit DJ Toddy in der StäV
Contrary to the Nordic cold and actually on the wrong river, carnival is also celebrated in Bremen. In the permanent representation there is Kölsch, Rhenish cheerfulness and lots of revellers.
Rosenmontag mit DJ Toddy in der StäV
Kölle Alaf! - Or something?! It somehow feels almost forbidden to refer to a carnival party in Bremen. But if you've seen the Rose Monday video on YouTube from StäV, you'll know that things can get pretty crazy here too during carnival.
