Unfortunately, corona is currently making it impossible for us to meet up with friends and family for brunch in our favorite stores. But we don't have to spend hours in the kitchen ourselves either. Because a veritable brunch box heaven has opened up: here are our 9 favorite brunch boxes for at home.

ALL YOU CAN BRUNCH FROM FRÄULEIN GRÜNEIS

Fräulein Grüneis is not only a lovely location that you should definitely stop at if you're out and about in the English Garden, she can also conjure up very tasty brunch boxes! And there's always a little highlight hidden inside. Be it pancakes, waffles or porridge. With this brunch box, your Sunday will be a whole lot cozier...

Brunch box contents: The brunch boxes are available in two versions: Veggie and organic bacon. However, there are overlaps here and there - in both you can expect oriental pancakes with honey and nuts, oriental yoghurt with orange zest, blue chia pudding, homemade donut, cinnamon bun, pink hummus & edamame pea spread, ginger-orange shot and various rolls. The veggie box also includes an egg muffin (the other box contains bacon) and a selection of cheeses (the other box also includes sausage). You can always see the current contents of each box on Instagram.

Price per box: 38 euros for the veggie box and 40 euros for the brunch box with meat

And this is how it works: Simply write an e-mail to Fräulein Grüneis, tell her your desired box and address by Saturday (4 pm) and then wait for the doorbell to ring on Sundays between 9:30 am and 11:00 am. Or simply drop by Miss Grüneis yourself and pick up the box.

BREAKFAST LIKE IN BELLA ITALIA AT RUSTIKERIA

Oh Mamma Mia! If you choose a brunch box from Rustikeria, you can look forward to a culinary Tuscan vacation. Rustikeria's Brunchami box is not only rich, but also spoils you with everything you would otherwise only know from the delicatessen or from Bella Italia...

Brunch box contents: The Brunchami box is available as a Classico with fruit juice, croissants, Tuscan sausage and cheese specialties, fish carpaccio with pomegranate, fritatta ice cream, mortadella mousse with pistachio, goat's cream cheese with pine nuts and mint, vegetable sticks, mascarpone cream on almond cookies with wild berries as well as maxi grissini and other types of bread. But vegetarians won't miss out here either! In addition to the vegetarian dishes mentioned above, the Brunchami Veggie Box also includes delicious items such as beet carpaccio, hummus and couscous with oranges, raisins, almonds and oat flakes.

Price per box: There is no difference in price between the vegetarian and meat-based Brunchami box, but you save €10 if you collect the box - i.e. €49 if you collect it yourself and €59 for delivery (radius up to 5km, everything beyond that €64).

And this is how it works: On the Rustikeria homepage you can see exactly what is included in the Brunchami Box. You have until Friday to pre-order for Sunday via WhatsApp. Delivery will be made throughout Munich, but you can also collect the box from Rustikeria at Angertorstraße 4. You can pick it up from 10 am to 11:30 am and it will be delivered between 10 am and 12 noon.

ALL-IN-ONE BREAKFAST AND BRUNCH AT THE ISARKISTE

If you decide to order the Isarkiste, you should make plenty of room on the table for all the goodies. In addition to the vegetarian and meat box, a vegan box and a Christmas box are currently being developed.

Brunch box contents: You can choose between a vegetarian and a meat-based box. In both, you'll find different types of bread, a savory cream cheese spread, a sweet spread (honey and jam), two hard-boiled eggs, sweet and savory snacks (e.g. oat cookies, salt crackers), mini croissant, mini pain au chocolat, mini raisin snail, sausage (in the vegetarian version a substitute, such as avocado) and lots of cheese. In the vegetarian version, there's even more, such as gorgonzola. But that's not all: you'll find two bottles of fresh orange juice, fruit, vegetable sticks, butter and banana bread on top in the box. Last but not least, there's fresh ginger and mint for making tea as well as a voucher for a coffee at Café Undici and a voucher for a scoop of ice cream at Eismeisterei.

Price per box: There is no difference in price between vegetarian and meat, but you save 10 euros if you pick up the box - so 45 euros if you pick it up yourself and 55 euros for delivery.

And this is how it works: Go to the Isarkiste homepage, order by midday on Friday for delivery at the weekend or even for the following weekends and be delivered on Saturday and Sunday. Deliveries are made throughout Munich, but you can also collect the box from Café Undici at Fraunhoferstraße 11. Collection is possible from 9 am and delivery from 8 am.

VEGAN DELICACIES FROM CAFÉ OM NOM NOM

To sweeten your lockdown weekends a little, Café Om Nom Nom has come up with a particularly tasty brunch box for you. And it's vegan from start to finish.

Brunch box contents: Four types of vegan cheese, vegan butter, fig mustard, cinnamon bun, chocolate coco brownie, a portion of baba ghanoush, a portion of beet hummus, crunchy vegetable sticks, antipasti, fresh fruit, energy balls and much more. Everything you need for a good start to the day.

Price per box: 39 Euro

And this is how it works: Orders are accepted online, via Instagram, phone (089 76702464) or email until 6 pm the day before. You can then collect your box from Oberländerstraße 24a every Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 11am if you have ordered in advance. Unfortunately, delivery is not possible here.

VEGAN BRUNCH BOX FROM KATZENTEMPEL

First of all: If you miss the cats in the temple, unfortunately they are not included in this box. But you can look forward to all kinds of delicious and vegan food from the cat temple. You can decide whether you want to pick up the breakfast box on site or have it conveniently delivered - as long as you live in the delivery area, of course.

Brunch box contents: Whether carrot ginger soup, chili sin carne, pumpkin quiche, cat pralines, sandwiches, fresh fruit or carrot cake sandwiches - everything is freshly prepared here and packed safely in the box for transportation.

Cost per box: 39 euros + 3 euros delivery charge

And this is how it works: Go to the Katzentempel website, enter your details and enjoy. Collection and delivery take place on Saturday. Delivery takes place between 9 am and 12 noon, and you can collect the boxes between 10 am and 4 pm.

THE BEST OF TWO WORLDS FROM CAFÈ CHANCE

Banh Mi or Goi Cuon for breakfast? Why not? At Café Chance, you can get a brunch box with a difference. You'll be spoilt for choice here: with four brunch boxes plus one that you can put together individually, you'll not only have to be hungry, but also creative. The Vietnamese-German breakfast is guaranteed not to be boring on your plate.

Brunch box contents: The brunch boxes are available in five variants: Chance Special Brunch, Chance Classic Breakfast Box, Chance Vegetarian, Chance Sweetness or customized to your taste. Depending on the box, you can look forward to Goi Cuon (vegan or with turkey), Banh Mi (vegetarian or with turkey), pancakes, French toast, croissants with jam, fruit, muesli bowl or porridge and freshly squeezed fruit juice.

VEGAN HEAVEN IN HOT AND COLD FROM EMMI'S KITCHEN

You just can't decide whether you want a cold or hot breakfast? The brunch box from Emmi's Kitchen in the Glockenbachviertel district can help and packs both types of food for you! All vegan and freshly prepared for you, there's no better way to start the last day of the week.

Brunch box contents: Only the best in a box. Look forward to Emmi's cinnamon buns, cakes, overnight oats, chili sin carne, pancakes, tofu scramble with cherry tomatoes and spinach, gluten-free Korn an Korn bread, various spreads, fruit and a mango tango smoothie.

Cost per box: 39 euros

And this is how it works: You can see the exact contents of each box on the Emmi's Kitchen Instagram channel. You can then order conveniently by Friday at 4 pm by phone on 089 55261878 or by email. The collection will take place on Saturday or Sunday from 09:30-12 at Buttermelcherstr. 11-15. Delivery is not possible.

BRUNCHBOX DELUXE FROM OOH BABY I LIKE IT RAW

We all miss our favorite cafés, but luckily Ooh Baby I Like It Raw is now also offering delicious brunch boxes to combat this. The small café from the city center offers you two delicious variations that leave nothing to be desired for a sumptuous weekend brunch.

Brunch box contents: The brunch box comes in two versions. With the Ooh Baby's Brunch Box Deluxe you can enjoy salmon, Serrano ham, various cheeses, cream cheese, feta, butter, horseradish, 2 soft-boiled eggs, half an avocado, vegetable sticks, capers, dill, hummus, beet, a selection of bread from the local bakery Brotzeit, croissant, jam, banana bread, peanut butter, yoghurt, muesli, nuts, berries, coconut kiss, 2 fruit juices, 2 Emilio drip coffee bags and fresh ingredients for a small pot of tea. Quite a variety, isn't it? The brunch box is also available as a veggie option. This is without salmon and Serrano ham, but with a surprise spread and half a grapefruit.

Cost per box: Both variations are available for 39 euros with the option of booking a Valdo Prosecco 0.2l for 6 euros.

And this is how it works: On the Instagram channel of Oooh Baby I like it raw you can not only view the boxes in advance but also order them directly. You can also send an email or call 089 89052339. Orders by phone can also be picked up on the same day, while stocks last. Brunch boxes that are to be delivered (note: only valid on Sundays!) can be accepted until 4 pm on Saturday. The delivery radius is limited to approx. 3.5 km around the café and costs 5 euros extra. Deliveries are then made between 9 am and 11 am. Otherwise, pick-ups are possible from 9.30 am on Saturdays and Sundays. You can choose the desired pick-up time yourself - so it's also suitable for late risers!

DELICIOUS AND HEALTHY BRUNCH BOX FROM PANO

Pano is an absolute newcomer to the brunch box business. The café only opened in mid-November 2020 - only to have to close again. Nevertheless, they still want to be there for you and have therefore come up with something not only delicious but also healthy.

Brunch box contents: The PANO brunch box contains 2 large natural croissants with jam and butter, 2 freshly filled natural sourdough breads with delicious vegetarian spreads, an Acai Bowl, a Protein & Green Bowl with crunchy granola and fresh fruit, 2 POMOM smoothies, 2 PANO Tea Bags and other changing PANO surprises for you.

Cost per box: The brunch box currently costs 29 euros instead of 35 euros. Delivery within the Mittlerer Ring is available for an additional 10 euros.
