Spring in Heidelberg - the first rays of sunshine are reflected in the Neckar, the street cafés are filling up and the air is filled not only with the scent of blossoming almond trees, but also with music. Because the Heidelberg Spring Music Festival transforms the city into a stage for classical sounds. 🌸🎶
A special kind of festival
With 89 events at 18 venues, there is a lot of music going on in Heidelberg for three weeks. Fancy world pianist Igor Levit with a large orchestra at the new Heidelberg Congress Center? Or a Minimal Night with lots of percussion and minimal music, the classic forerunner of techno? Or would you like to experience how the South American pianist Gabriela Montero improvises live to the Charlie Chaplin silent movie "The Immigrant"?

Who's coming - and where are they playing?
World stars and up-and-coming newcomers take to the festival's stages. And the venues? Diverse and unique: from the Aula der Neuen Universität to the Aula der Neuen Universität, the Heidelberg Congress Center and the Kulturzentrum Karlstorbahnhof - each location has its own charm and makes every concert a special experience. Don't forget to visit the inner courtyard of the New University: the glass pop-up festival center is always open before and after concerts.
