This is shown in the "Human Work" exhibition at KIT
Attention art lovers! We have something very special here. It's about the exhibition "Human Work - Young Art from Münster", which visitors can currently admire at the KIT in Düsseldorf 🤩
"Being human" as the theme of the exhibition
Five artists are exhibiting their works on the theme of "being human" and addressing topics such as repression and memory, privilege and discrimination based on skin color and gender and many more. All of this is presented with the help of photographs, videos and installations.
Why you shouldn't miss the exhibition
At the exhibition, you can expect a wide variety of artistic positions that deal with a wide range of topics. In her art, artist Yedam Ann explores how modern technology and rapid mobility are changing our sense of place, identity and belonging. What defines us when places become less and less important and everything becomes faster and more digital? Zauri Matikashvili is showing two very intimate works at KIT, including an installation about his own illness.
In "Cascades", Jakob Schnetz and Rebecca Ramershoven look at how technology influences what we actually see in photos. In particular, they show that even digital images are never simply neutral. Jakob Schnetz shows, among other things, images created by software errors during loading and focuses on plastic waste washed up in the Arctic 🌊
