INTERFILM 40 - International Short Film Festival Berlin
For 40 years, the INTERFILM Festival has been a permanent fixture in Berlin's cultural scene, attracting international filmmakers and film fans to the capital's cinemas. Founded in 1982 in the alternative scenes of Kreuzberg, Berlin's oldest and largest short film festival has also made a name for itself beyond the borders of Europe - and even offers Academy Award qualifications for selected films.
Together with its sister festival KUKI, the young short film festival, INTERFILM presents more than 350 short films each year in an exciting program that focuses on current political and social issues such as post-colonial heritage, social participation and self-determination. With a diverse audience and a strong mission, the festival shows how short films can convey socially relevant content in an accessible and powerful way.
We are longtime and above all very big fans and present you the festival from 05 Nov 2024 - 10 Nov 2024. You can find our highlights here in the blog and the entire program on the festival page. Don't miss an event, discover new locations on the map and build your own timetable in our App Special.
