For a Banh Mi at Banh Mi & Beer
Behind Banh Mi & Beer - bnb for short - is Henry Yang. After studying industrial engineering, he decided against the office chair and dedicated himself to gastronomy with the opening of his first restaurant Soumi. The second followed in August 2017: Banh Mi & Beer in Parkstraße.
The restaurant's philosophy is pretty much in line with Henry's roots - it's the mix that makes it special: the menu features good German beers and Asian-inspired cocktails paired with fresh Vietnamese dishes. In addition to banh mi, a Vietnamese baguette with spicy meat or tofu, pickled carrots and radish, cucumber and coriander, there are summer rolls, rice and noodle bowls as well as cheesecake flan for dessert.
In terms of furnishings, the bnb is quite modern and stylish. There is a large, green-tiled bar in the entrance area and the dining area at the back. Despite the coolness factor, the cozy factor is high, as the individual tables are relatively close together. But don't worry, you can enjoy banh mi and beer undisturbed. It doesn't hurt to make a reservation, but it's not a must, especially during the week! A visit on Tuesday is particularly worthwhile - the beer price (light/cellar beer) is only 2.90€.
