The path along the banks of the Rhine offers breathtaking views of the Rhine, the passing boats and the city skyline. The best way to jog a circular route along the banks of the Rhine is to start at the Crane Houses, cross the South Bridge, admire the passing boats and the city skyline from the other side and return via the famous Hohenzollern Bridge.

City forest

In the middle of Lindenthal, between Aachener Straße in the north, Dürener Straße in the south and Militärringstraße in the west, you will find the city forest in Cologne. As a green oasis with dense forests, open meadows and several lakes, you will find a variety of paths and trails of different lengths here. This route is ideal for runners who want to run through both nature and everyday urban life. Starting in Volkspark, a spacious park with green meadows and quiet paths, the route leads southwards through the lively southern part of the city. Here you will experience historic architecture, charming street cafés and the hustle and bustle of the city. On the way back, you then cross the Volkspark again, which offers absolute relaxation with its old trees and picturesque ponds.
