10. Bremer Blockflötentag

In the organizer's words:

It's that time again: Lecturers and students of the University of the Arts Bremen invite you to the big recorder day - we want to make music together for a day and celebrate with the recorder. Young players from the age of 8, teenagers, adults and seniors as well as existing ensembles are invited.

The focus of this year's program is the music of Venice. We will take excursions through several epochs and styles in the large and small recorder orchestra, in ensemble playing for registered ensembles, in sound experiments with text and music or in the colorful concert of our students.

All participants of the recorder day play together in the large orchestra, all other offers of the day are freely selectable.

Free admission for teachers accompanying their students.

Here are a few explanations:

• In the recorder orchestra, we will be a large group of players with different playing levels. There will be multiple parts and lots of help and support from our students.
• The sheet music for the orchestra will be sent out from the 17th week (Easter week). For all those who have lessons, the recorder teachers will certainly help with the preparation.
• For advanced players, another piece will be worked on in the "small orchestra", which will be played from sheet music.
• In the sound experiments, we will illustrate text quotes about the city of Venice with sound. Adults are also expressly welcome!
• In the moderated mini-concert by our students, we will experience the fascinating possibilities of our instrument and gain an insight into the work of our recorder classes.
• On request, registered ensembles can receive a lesson from the students with their prepared pieces. Any literature and epoch is welcome.
• As a special highlight of the day, we will present the results of our work in the final public concert and play together again in a large ensemble.

• Which recorder size(s) should I bring?
• Sending the sheet music: by post or e-mail?
• When sending the sheet music to the recorder teacher, we need the address or e-mail address
• For ensembles: contact person + telephone
