What it's about:
A seriously injured 17-year-old girl is dumped outside a clinic in the Uckermark. It turns out to be Lilly Steiner, who has been missing for a year. Lilly is traumatized and cannot say where she has been. Her only memory is that she lived among ravens and allegedly learned their language. Carlotta Weiss and Nils Trojan take over the investigation and make an eerie discovery in a remote wooded area where Lilly was hit by a car: in a clearing, they come across seven life-size dolls tied to trees in a circle. But then a deeply disturbing event occurs that destroys everything Carlotta and Nils thought they knew about Lilly ...

The author:
Max Bentow was born in Berlin. After studying acting, he worked on various stages. He has received numerous prestigious awards for his work as a playwright. Since his debut novel "Der Federmann", Max Bentow has established himself as one of the most successful German thriller authors; all of his books have been major SPIEGEL bestsellers.
