What it's all about:
Together with Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers and Ngaio Marsh, Margery Louise Allingham (1904-1966) is one of the "Queens of Crime", the four most important authors of detective novels of the Golden Age of Crime.
Born in London, she made her breakthrough in 1929 with "The Crime at Black Dudley", in which Albert Campion made his first appearance - one of the most popular detectives in crime fiction, who investigated in over 20 novels and numerous short stories.
In conversation with crime expert Margarete von Schwarzkopf and actor Wanja Mues, Albert Campion will captivate readers with his charm and sharp mind. Margarete von Schwarzkopf will provide fascinating insights into contemporary history, the genre of British crime classics and Allingham's life and work.
Wanja Mues enriches the evening with his knowledge of the current crime thriller landscape. He has appeared in numerous German TV formats, most notably in "Ein Fall für zwei". He will also lend his voice to the texts on this evening. The focus is on the crime novels "Campion. Deadly Legacy" and "Campion. Im Schatten der Vergangenheit", both published in a new edition by Klett-Cotta Verlag.

The protagonists:
Margarete von Schwarzkopf, born in Wertheim am Main, studied English and history in Bonn and Freiburg. She first worked for the Katholische Nachrichten-Agentur (Catholic News Agency), then as a features editor at the "Welt" and for many years as an editor for literature and film at NDR. Today she works as a freelance journalist, author, literary critic and presenter.

Wanja Mues, born in Hamburg in 1973, was already in front of the camera at the age of 13. He received his acting training in New York. In addition to his numerous television roles, he is also a successful audio book narrator and has read novels by James Baldwin, Ian McEwan and Martin Suter, among others.
