10. Krimifestival Erfurt - Tine Dreyer: Morden in der Menopause mit dem richtigen Mindset

What it's about:
48-year-old Liv is a wife, mother, kitchen planner and - after her first hot flush triggers a deadly chain reaction: murderer. Now Liv is not only sleeping badly because of the hormone deficiency, but also because of her feelings of guilt. But turning herself in and going to prison is not an option, after all she has three teenage children and her husband Jörn to look after, and of course Marlies and Werner, her elderly parents-in-law. There is only one way to find peace: Liv has to change her attitude and develop a positive mindset. An ex-prostitute and her mother-in-law, of all people, help her to do this. Unfortunately, despite all her efforts, more murders occur - but at least the two of them support her with a positive mindset.

The author:
Tine Dreyer is the pseudonym of crime writer Christine Drews, who has been successfully writing crime novels and thrillers as well as screenplays for many years. In 2024, DuMont published "Morden in der Menopause", the world's first menopausal crime novel. Tine Dreyer lives in Cologne with her husband, two sons and a dog.
