In the organizer's words:

16mm open-air cinema in the park of Villa Berg

Four summer evenings, four cinematic themes - analog, outdoors and freely accessible: the 16mm open-air cinema invites you on a special journey back in time to the analog age of school, educational and cultural films.

Rare short films are shown on original 16mm film, as they used to be shown in classrooms, youth centers or workrooms - in proper style with a projector, picnic blanket and record music.

The films date from the second half of the 20th century and open up very unique perspectives on the city and region, nature and the environment, social role models and questions of safety. This is not about nostalgia, but about reflection: what did this cinema culture once convey - and what does it tell us today?

The series will be moderated by Andreas Vogel(Montagegruppe), who will also accompany the program with music.

Free admission - please bring picnic blankets and picnic baskets!

Dates: 30.08. / 06.09. / 13.09. / 20.09.2025, each at 8 p.m.
