The 17 HIPPIES are a permanent fixture in the German music scene - and far beyond. They have traveled the world and established their unique sound on the stages of Europe. Every child knows by now that the number 17 has nothing to do with the actual number of musicians, but simply sounds good.

The band's 10 creative minds combine the handmade magic of their acoustic instruments with experimental innovation in their very own way. Their interactive album app "9,000 Nights" is an impressive example of how open and curious they are about the sound of their music. Three decades of making music together and 21 released albums have created a musical treasure that can be heard and felt in every note.

Their music is an exciting mixture of Eastern European melodies and rhythms, Americana, chanson and their own rock and jazz-influenced background, which constantly provides new impulses. Their songs, which are sung in German, English, French and Hessian, are unmistakable.
