Under the motto "Salam, Ya Salam - the diversity of Hamburg under the sign of peace", the opening event with speeches and musical accompaniment will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024 in the Bürgersaal of Hamburg City Hall. The aim of the Arab Culture Weeks is to initiate and deepen intercultural dialog at various levels. The Culture Weeks 2024 will extend over a period of three months with a variety of very different events and cooperation partners. In numerous readings, lectures, discussions, workshops and guided tours, participants will enter a world full of exciting details and cultural added value. In addition to numerous "country days", which provide an insight into the many facets of the Arab countries, there are photo and painting exhibitions by artists with a migration background, various German-Arabic readings, lectures on Arab traditions and their relationship to the European world as well as lectures and panel discussions on current topics, various workshops, including calligraphy, concerts at which German and Arab musicians perform together in order to appeal specifically to a young audience.
