2. Familienkonzert: Papa Haydns kleine Tierschau oder: Wie klingt eine Giraffe?

In the organizer's words:

The composer Joseph Haydn, known as "Papa Haydn", has a big problem: he just can't think of anything clever for his latest symphony, which is to be called "The Giraffe"! His musicians (colleagues) can't help him, even though he has already written symphonies such as "The Bear", "The Hen" and "The Hunt" for them. Even "Der Paukenschlag" is not the right thing ...

So it's up to the audience! Together with them and the musicians, Papa Haydn sets off once again in search of the right notes. A performance for the ear and eye that aims to take away children's - and perhaps adults' - fear of classical music and presents it in a different way: playfully, with lots of humor and fun!

The family concerts are all about discovering classical music through adventurous stories that provide easy access and a good introduction to the world of classical music. The family concerts are not only a great experience for the little listeners, but the ears of the grown-ups can also discover the music for themselves in a new way or at all.
