The Barbican Quartet delights its audiences with powerful performances and virtuoso interplay. The four musicians came together in 2014 at the Guildhall School of Music in London. For six years, they studied in Madrid with Günter Pichler, the principal violinist of the legendary Alban Berg Quartet. In 2022, the Barbican Quartet won first prize and several special prizes at the ARD International String Quartet Competition. Their widely acclaimed debut album with works by Schumann and Janácek was released on the quality label Genuin.
