Tilda and her little sister Ida are a well-rehearsed team when it comes to coping with everyday life. And they have to, because their mother is an alcoholic, their fathers are absent and Tilda's friends have all long since left for the big wide world. Between university, a job at the supermarket checkout and the saddest house in Fröhlichstraße, Tilda's only escape from her dreary life in the small town is her daily 22 laps in the outdoor pool.
