CROSSNIGHT Gütersloh e.V. celebrates its 25th anniversary
Great line-up with Adam Angst, Massendefekt, Jack Pott and Zukunft Zwei
2025, the year of anniversaries. The city of Gütersloh celebrates 200 years of city rights and the Crossnight Gütersloh e.V. association turns 25 this year. Reason enough to get together to celebrate on a larger scale!
Crossnight Gütersloh offers a program in the Gütersloh town hall that this place has probably not seen very often. Four bands will celebrate the birthday in style, all under the motto of German punk rock. After celebrating in many places in the district of Gütersloh, such as the Weberei, the Parkbad and the KGB Langenberg, the club returns to the center and a few sizes bigger than usual.
The headliners of the evening are Adam Angst, who are in Gütersloh with their third album "Twist". Fortunately, the band doesn't just limit itself to punk rock, everything from piano ballads to German rock satire can be found here and the band, which has toured with the Donots and at all the big festivals, is particularly impressive live. Their sound is uncompromising, their message clear: there's no irrelevant blah-blah here, but a hard-hitting reckoning with politics, the media and social grievances.
As co-headliners, the association was able to engage Massendefekt. There is one motto here: fun! With rock, sometimes with more punk influence, sometimes with more pop influence and lyrics taken from life, they pick up their audience and promise a live show that convinces. With honest lyrics and a rousing stage presence, Massendefekt create an atmosphere that leaves no one cold. Anyone who likes loud guitars, big emotions and sweat-inducing concerts should not miss Massendefekt.
The third band to play is the newcomer band Jack Pott. The band has been touring across Germany for four years now and has already attracted a considerable number of fans in that time. With a mixture of punk rock and synthesizers with pop influences, they end up with a danceable mix that immediately convinces listeners and at the same time brings a breath of fresh air to the scene.
As is tradition in the club, a regional band will open the evening. This time it's Zukunft Zwei from Paderborn. The band stands for modern, German-language alternative punk that is convincing both musically and lyrically. Anyone looking for honest music with feeling will definitely find it here.
