25 Jahre SSB-Betriebshof Remseck

In the organizer's words:

SSB celebrates 25 years of the Remseck depot!

This year marks a very special milestone: the SSB depot in Remseck is 25 years old!

The depot has been an indispensable part of SSB for a quarter of a century. This is where the course for smooth operations is set on a daily basis.

This occasion deserves to be celebrated! On April 5, 2025, we cordially invite you to the anniversary celebration from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the grounds of the depot in Remseck.

With a varied program, there will be something for all ages and tastes:

• A look back at the history of the depot
• Guided tours
  • Workshop: Here you will gain exciting insights into SSB technology. You will see trains in a raised state, look under the vehicles and learn more about the braking system and important components. In the washing track, you can enter a light rail vehicle and experience the washing process live from the inside. All areas are barrier-free, except for access to the light rail vehicle.
  • Driver's cab of a light rail vehicle: In the driver's cab you will receive information about the DT8.12 light rail train, the driver's cab and the passenger compartment. This tour is not barrier-free.
  • Signal box: In the signal box, you will learn about the functions of an SSB signal box, including how a signal box operator works, both at the mechanical control desk and digitized on the computer. This tour is not barrier-free.
