Focus topic: Rent increase during modernization

The horror of all tenants: Rent increases due to modernization. What is justified, what is not and how can you defend yourself and organize in case of doubt? Max from the tenants' union gives tips and reports on his experiences. Highly recommended for all those affected and those not (yet) affected! Prevention is better than aftercare - just like at the dentist ;-)

The Munich tenants' get-together

is an open platform for networking the residents of this city in order to give these grievances a face. Come along to exchange ideas, to draw attention to your situation as part of our 'House Speed Dating' or to present your initiative.

House Speed Dating - You are not alone!

This is about visibility, solidarity and cohesion. You report on the situation you are in as a tenant in order to shed light on the darkness and expose the common practices in the real estate sector.
This is not about individual cases, but about a business model that is accepted by the general public and in which we tenants tend to interfere. That cannot be the case in this "social" market economy.

How does it work? You should briefly present your case in about 5 minutes. New connections often emerge in the subsequent exchange: Has anyone had similar experiences? Are there any recognizable parallels in the approach?

The following points are important during the presentation:

• Your name
• Your address/your house or your tenant community
• The name of the owner/investor?
• How many tenants are there?
• What is the problem in the house (termination for personal use, modernization, vacancy, etc ...)?
