The exhibition title refers both to the appearance of the works in the exhibition space and to overlapping content.

The two-dimensional works by Tamer Serbay correspond with the three-dimensional works by Birgit Lindemann, whose terracotta figures depict people who pause and linger, as if detached from time. Questions arise about the possible before and possible after.

At the same time, Tamer Serbay's working method, which takes historical art-historical or traditional works and images as the basis for his type of digital processing, takes us on a journey that builds a bridge to the present through the fourth dimension, time, and makes the themes that appear there contemporary again.

What connects the two artists is the theme of the human being in many respects, the human condition with its permanence, cultural integration and changeability.
