Five sailors meet to make music - the cultural office invites the Hamburg band mahoin! to the 3rd Kirchplatzkonzert 2025 on 15.07.2025.
In the beginning, it was all just a fixed idea: "We wanted to stage a Hans Albers concert evening with artistry and sailor's yarn on a larger scale."
So the five musical heroes toured the harbor pubs, clubs and harbor festivals as "Albers Ahoi" with their first 10 songs. With huge success!
What began with Hamburg songs and Hans Albers has developed into a musical steam rocket with international sounds.
A new name was needed to do justice to this powerful course. Helmsman Johnny and his crew have further developed the musical cargo and steered the cutter safely from "Albers Ahoy" to "mahoin".
When the beats are pulsating and Johnny unpacks his pocket trumpet, a good mood is guaranteed! Their look, their charm, their musicality and their unique interpretation of the great songs of yesterday and today make this concert band as maritime as it is authentic.
Nordic. Fresh. And with the pulse of St. Pauli.
The Cultural Office of the City of Bremerhaven is now reviving the very popular Kirchplatzkonzerte series for the fifth year. The concerts take place every second Tuesday evening from 18:00 at the
the Great Church - free of charge and outside.
This event is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building as part of the "Sustainable inner cities and centers" program.
