The five singers of amarcord combine the highest vocal culture, versatility and humor. Whether medieval, romantic, hits by the Comedian Harmonists or contemporary - they simply know how to inspire the audience with rousing programs.
The ensemble was founded in 1992 by former members of the Leipzig St. Thomas Choir. This was followed by numerous awards, from the ICMA Classical Award to the Echo, as well as concert tours in over 50 countries. On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, amarcord undertook a tour of the USA in 2022.

Amarcord is one of the world's leading vocal ensembles and also one of the most important representatives of Leipzig as a city of music: the annual "A Cappella" festival for vocal music was initiated by the singers.
