30 Jahre Radio Blau: Oddissee

Leipzig's free radio station will be 30 years old this spring. The hip-hop editorial team "Future Classics" is taking this as an opportunity to organize a fitting concert for Radio Blau's birthday.

They were able to win over the New York rapper ODDISEE, who will be coming with his wonderful band GOOD COMPNY. He has been a regular guest on the Radio Blau program with his music for over 15 years.

Oddisee released his debut album "People Hear What They See" in 2012, which was critically acclaimed and won the "Apple Itunes Music Award" for Best Hip Hop Album, among others. In 2015, he returned with his second album "The Good Fight", a work driven by social commentary and retro soul. At the same time, Oddisee and his band "Good Compny" toured the world twice, including major festivals such as Glastonbury, North Sea Jazz Festival and Roskilde.

2016 saw the release of "The Odd Tape" - a purely instrumental album and his EP "Alwasta", including one of the most talked about songs of 2016, "Lifting Shadows", which earned Oddisee an invitation to the White House. In the same year, he also performed at the industry gathering "Summit At Sea" in the Caribbean together with Kendrick Lamar, Will.i.am and Herbie Hancock.
