Five scholarship holders of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation will be performing this season. On the one hand, the siblings Till and Clara Stümke, who, like many of their predecessors, have dedicated themselves to the Mannheim Court Musicians and will perform Carl Stamitz's Sinfonia concertante. On the other hand, the Trio Sarastro, consisting of siblings Sebastian and Sophie Rauch and Marc Strokov, will tackle Ludwig van Beethoven's Triple Concerto. A work that has been particularly popular with musicians and audiences alike since its creation due to its complexity. Also on the program: Symphony No. 34 in C major K. 338 by Wolfgang Amadé Mozart. The young musicians are traditionally accompanied and supported by the Heidelberg Philharmonic Orchestra, this year under the direction of Junyoung Kim.
