39. Berliner Jazztreff

On November 24, 2024, the 39th Berliner Jazztreff will once again offer the opportunity to experience the capital's vibrant jazz scene in all its facets. Whether children, young people or experienced jazz musicians - jazz fans will get their money's worth on this weekend. The Berliner Jazztreff is a cross-generational platform where the stars of tomorrow can exchange ideas with the established greats of the scene. A special highlight is the performance by the Berlin Youth Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Fabia Mantwill and Nicolai Thärichen.

The program offers a colourful mixture of ensembles and styles. Especially for young jazz musicians, the Berliner Jazztreff offers a valuable opportunity to network with professionals and receive valuable feedback in the form of consultations.

The Berliner Jazztreff is a place of encounter and exchange that focuses on the development of the young jazz generation.

In addition to exciting concerts, the Jazztreff is also enriched by the selection of a state prize winner in the Youth Big Band / Jazz Orchestra category (formerly "Jugend jazzt Big Band"). The respective ensemble will then represent Berlin at the German Orchestra Competition 2025 in Mainz and Wiesbaden.
