4. Deutsch-Afrikanische Diasporakonferenz NRW

From September 6 to 8, 2024, we cordially invite you to the 4th edition of the German-African Diaspora Conference NRW, which will take place at the Dortmunder U.

Since 2017, the conference has provided a forum for exchange on development policy issues that particularly affect the African continent. The conference offers a platform for the exchange, networking and visibility of actors from the African diaspora who are involved in development policy work at home and abroad. This year, the focus is on women, youth and development along the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a special focus on goals: 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goals).

Best practice examples will show which projects already exist and what impact they have. In addition, the conference offers plenty of space for networking. Here you can find out who is already active, which projects are already being successfully implemented and what obstacles and support options exist.

Together with other participants and speakers, discuss ways in which you too can get actively involved. What you can expect:

- Speeches by personalities from politics, business and civil society. - Panel discussions with experts. - Workshops and interactive topic sessions. - Evening program - networking space

The conference is being organized with the kind support of the Foundation for Environment and Development and Engagement Global, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
