44. Eldenaer Jazz Evenings

In the organizer's words:

On the first weekend in July, jazz fans from all over Germany and beyond have been coming together for the Eldena Jazz Evenings at the Eldena monastery ruins in Greifswald since 1981. In the midst of the symbol of German Romanticism, international greats and established artists from the German jazz scene are presented alongside up-and-coming formations from Germany and abroad. Enjoy two evenings with three concerts each in a special atmosphere. "The concert nights begin in the evening sun, which almost magically illuminates the brick-red walls in the concert hall open to the sky" (Heti Brunzel/NDR) and end shortly before midnight in the middle of the illuminated walls under the night sky.
