"The most beautiful discoveries" - symphonies by W. A. Mozart, J. Mysliveček and others.
L'arte del mondo was founded in 2004 by its artistic director Werner Ehrhardt. With great artistic curiosity, the ensemble ventures into unusual programs, intercultural encounters and excavations of forgotten works. Its projects include collaborations with Turkish and Chinese artists, a dance version of the St. Matthew Passion and the rediscovery of Mozart's Prague contemporary Josef Myslivecek. The ensemble's recordings include numerous world premieres of symphonies, operas and oratorios. The versatile musicians play on both historical and modern instruments.
"Ehrhardt and his highly motivated troupe work energetically and with relish to let us experience the revolutionary pulse of this music directly." (Stereoplay)
"Here they are all in their element, with crisp, sharp accents, versatile sound colors, sometimes rustic, sometimes elegant, with joyful virtuoso garlands, acrobatic ... flights of fancy and confidently mastered tempo changes." (Music & Theater)
