In the organizer's words:

From April 25 to 28, 2024, the 53rd edition of the International
student film festival Sehsüchte will take place. With a festival campus
around the Schiffbauergasse in Potsdam, Europe's largest student film festival offers an important platform for up-and-coming international filmmakers. The tradition-steeped cultural city of Potsdam thus becomes the setting for cinematic works, screenplays and other forms of media art. Sehsüchte creates a meeting place for industry professionals, newcomers and the public.

HIGHLIGHTS this year:

• Thu 1 pm: Self:image - about life situations in our society
• Thu, Fri 5 pm; Sat 11 am at the Filmmusem Potsdam: Our new section "Focus: Sound"
• Fri 14:30:"Here:after" deals with social issues and crises
• Fri 6 pm: "Cine:East" - A look at the East
• Sat 11:30: "Special: Voices from Israel & Palestine" Screening of films from Israel/Palestine followed by a Q&A
• Sun 15:00, 17:00, 19:00: Winning Films I, II, III
