Of people, languages and books
An evening with short readings, a small exhibition and bossa nova. Munich-based Hagebutte Verlag is turning 7 and invites guests from near and far to join it on a foray through its varied program: including an excerpt from a novel set between Germany and Iran, poetry for young and old from Brazil and Chile, an excursion into the realm of lost things, and much more. The readings are in German with Persian-Spanish-Brazilian intermezzi. The live band will be just as eager to translate with German-language bossa nova and will also be playing other sounds from Brazil and elsewhere on the turntable afterwards. The visuals will also be varied with illustrations, photos and videos about the books and everything else that has happened in the last 7 years of the small publishing house, which was awarded the German Publishing Prize in 2024.

Admission: €10, a donation for Bellevue di Monaco is requested.

The event is in German with multilingual intermezzi (Portuguese, Spanish, Persian).

• Open/exhibition from 6 pm
• Readings from 7 pm
• followed by a delicious DJ set and finger food for dancing
