Before celebrating the New Year in the evening, you can ring in the new year in a sporty way at the New Year's Eve run in Bremen.
Although the race is one of the younger ones among many traditional New Year's Eve runs, 500 enthusiastic runners reached the finish line at the first edition in 2017. The start and finish area is located behind Paulaner's in the Wehrschloss. From there, a five-kilometer circuit leads through the Pauliner Marsch. It goes past allotment gardens, along the Weser towards the Weser Stadium and back to the Wehrschloss.
Five and ten kilometers are on offer, with 10km runners having to complete the circuit twice. The flat course is measured by the DLV. This means that nothing stands in the way of a new official best performance at the end of the year.
The Silvesterlauf Bremen takes place as a hybrid run: You can either take part in real or on site with all other participants in Bremen around the Paulaner's in the Wehrschloss or virtually at Silvesterlauf Bremen.
