François Leleux, famous oboist, subtle conductor and designated Artistic Director of the KAP, comes to Potsdam together with harpist Isabelle Moretti and performs Debussy's impressionistic sound paintings alongside detailed fairy tales by Ravel and great works by Mozart. "I have a deep admiration for Debussy the musician and Debussy the man," Ravel once said of his Parisian colleague, whose music is full of color and imagination. Mozart served as inspiration for both composers. For his third trip to Paris, he composed a symphony to please the audience there, and so he wrote a work full of effects and splendor, rich in surprises and contrasts.
