Between 1940 and 1945, hundreds of thousands of Dutch boys and men were deported to Germany and forced to perform forced labor. Almost 30,000 of them did not survive this period.
Together with the Symfonieorkest Nijmegen, we would like to commemorate them 80 years after the end of the war in a musical memorial service - with works by Gustav Mahler, Benjamin Britten and Albert Becker.
We cordially invite you to listen, pause and remember together.
The event will end with a joint visit to the Dutch Field of Honor at Stoffel Cemetery and a wreath-laying ceremony.
