LECTURES AND PANEL DISCUSSION
During the Second World War and after its end 80 years ago, around 14 million Germans in Eastern Europe were affected by flight, expulsion and deportation - a consequence of the war of extermination waged by National Socialist Germany. These events still concern us today.
Historical experiences have led to different views of the end of the war in East and West. We now face the challenge of harnessing these different perspectives to strengthen peace, democracy and freedom in Europe.
At this event, we want to talk about ways and means of doing justice to this.
