On September 6, the doors of the FZW will open for the start of the ninth DiS#. You can expect a program with Thomas D & The KBCS, the dance orchestra Paschulke, Sebastian 23, Wahnschaffe and more. Nina Sonnenberg aka FIVA will be the moderator and guide us through this exciting evening.

Since 2008, the DiS# (Dortmund Inclusive Sound Festival) has been setting an example for diversity and inclusion in Dortmund and beyond and will once again offer a diverse program this year from 06.09. to 16.11.2024.

Thomas D & The KBCS

As a member of the Fantastischen Vier, Thomas D has been inspiring audiences with his lyrics and music on the big stages for decades. But intimacy is often lost on such big stages. Since Thomas D found companions in the band The KBCS, with whom he can reinterpret the songs and lyrics he has written over decades with instrumental depth, a constantly new, loving symbiosis of lyrics, instruments and emotions has emerged on the rapper's musical journey. In 2023, they recorded their joint project at the legendary Little Big Beat Studios in Lichtenstein, where the best of Die Fantastischen Vier had already been recorded. Thomas D & The KBCS are already working on part 2 of the M.A.R.S. Sessions, which is expected to be released in May 2024.

WAHNSCHAFFE

The alternative pop band "Wahnschaffe" around Sophia Wahnschaffe and Hanna von Tottleben creates musical worlds with multi-layered vocals, multi-instrumentalizations and beats in a 5-piece line-up. Their lyrics tell stories about the power of personal development and the courage to break new ground. Their debut album "Alles Hier", released in 2024, conveys a profound message: Wahnschaffe's first full-length album celebrates the power of authenticity and encourages people to follow their own path, and with a nomination as best newcomer at popNRW 2020 and appearances at Fritz Unsigend, 1 LIVE Heimatkult, c/o pop and Bochum Total, they have firmly established themselves in the music scene.

Sebastian 23

You might know Sebastian 23 for various reasons: He is one of the most famous poetry slammers in the country, he has been a hunter and gatherer (of cabaret and literary awards), he has been on TV a few times, if not on the internet, because he has many fans on social media as a satirist and activist. He sometimes writes books and speaks at demonstrations for tolerance, feminism and climate justice, among other things. His latest book is called "Alles wird gut - Die Welt retten in 5712 einfachen Schritten".But maybe you've also seen him on the street and thought: "Who is this far too cheerful guy in the colorful sweater?"

Paschulke dance orchestra

The supporting program is knitted by the Paschulke dance orchestra, true to the motto: "What doesn't fit, is made to fit" and uses a wide variety of styles, ranging from the energetic music of the Balkans as a basis to pop, funk and jazz. The result is a very unique, extremely danceable mix of styles that the band has named "Ruhrpottbalkan".

Theevening will be hosted by Nina Sonnenberg, better known as FIVA.

She is not only known as a presenter of various formats, but has also made a name for herself as a musician. Among other things, she is part of the jury of the ORF casting show "Starmania". She will provide the common thread between the acts and talk about music, her inspiration and everyday life in short interviews with the musicians.
