Three completely different couples meet at a vacation hotel on the beautiful Italian Riviera. But what begins as a relaxed getaway quickly turns into an amusing mess full of flirtations, misunderstandings and wonderfully human turbulence.

The entertaining story is accompanied by around 50 legendary German hits from the last six decades. Classics such as ANITA, HULAPALU, ER GEHÖRT ZU MIR, TAGE WIE DIESE, SCHULD WAR NUR DER BOSA NOVA, VERDAMMT, ICH LIEB DICH, WAHNSINN, MAJOR TOM and many more form the perfect soundtrack for this musical adventure. An elaborately staged lighting and sound system ensures an unforgettable stage experience.

Six first-class musical stars bring their roles to life with passion and enthusiasm: The love-struck Ruhrpott couple Marina and Torben fall for the energetic Resi right at the beginning, whose powerful voice causes a stir. Her husband, the quiet math teacher Michael, receives an unexpected romantic surprise. The glamorous Munich chic couple Anita and Jonny, on the other hand, end up realizing that luxury is not all that counts.

Since its world premiere in 2016, AB IN DEN SÜDEN has been delighting audiences and has built up a steadily growing fan base. Year after year, the play is celebrated by enthusiastic audiences and showered with praise by the press.
