Abend für Fotografie Gast: Thomas Bierstedt

In the organizer's words:

The "Evening of Photography" is a broad platform for encounters, exchanges and further development on all topics relating to photography in the broadest sense. Not only for experts, but also for those interested in culture.

Thomas Bierstedt, who was born in Verden in 1960 and has lived in Bremen since 1980, began taking photographs at the age of 14, initially with a camera belonging to his late grandfather.

Bierstedt: "I used to like taking photos to capture memories. That's still partly the case now, but I'm now interested in discovering something special in the ordinary and teasing it out with the photographed image."

The unconventional and experimental photographer says that photography makes him happy: "A feeling of happiness that makes my hair tingle".
