Abraxasparty

Abraxas opened 40 years ago in Charlottenburg's Kantstraße. The club quickly became a well-known Berlin institution for fans of R'n'B, funk, soul, Afro and Latin music. Musicians from the surrounding concert stages also liked to gather at the after-show party after their performances to enjoy the unique Abraxas feeling. Each of the DJs had their own fans and on weekends the place was regularly packed until the early hours with people who loved to dance. After the surprising closure of Abraxas in 2009, the homeless fans and the established DJs started a tour of changing locations in the greater Charlottenburg area (which now also includes F'hain, P'berg, Mitte, Reinickendorf, Steglitz, Spandau, Schöneberg, Wedding, Tiergarten, Kreuzberg and Tempelhof) that continues to this day.

Once or twice a month, the now grown-up audience has been dancing through long-established and new clubs for 15 years. The Abraxasparty has long since become a fixture on the Berlin party scene. DJ John has been making the dance floors glow since the late eighties at Abraxas and now at many Abraxas parties. The infectious music, the cool party guests and the incomparable atmosphere continue to ensure an ever-growing fan base.
