Abriss­party!

A theater club for people aged 18 and over - premiere on March 29, 2025 - Schauspielhaus, Unterhaus - Stadt:Kollektiv

If we look around us, there's a lot going on: war has come close for us well-protected Europeans, queer hostility is on the rise, Trump is back, the climate is on the verge of collapse and the right is gaining more and more influence ... In short, the list is long. In "Abrissparty!", 16 performers enter an upside-down, highly complex world in which images constantly confront us in a personalized way with everything that so urgently needs to be changed. The scenic-performative collage takes up the aesthetics of the media age, in which it is almost impossible to escape information - information that overwhelms and renders us speechless. What can we do but celebrate a big demolition party and dream ourselves into a world that will still be worth living in the future? After all, everyone is in the same boat - the performers and the audience. And so, in the end, the question arises: what remains when the party is over - hope or hangover?
