Experience an unforgettable afternoon full of musical highlights at the last organ concert of the Organ Summer in the Kreuzkirche Dresden. On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 3:00 pm, we will say goodbye with a bang: the celebrated basilica organist Christoph Hauser from Ottobeuren will present a program that you will not soon forget. Christoph Hauser, whose playing has been praised by the press worldwide for its captivating expressiveness, will take you on a fascinating journey through the epochs and styles of organ music. The concert begins with the modern "Fanfare and Entrance" by Andrew Carter, a work full of festive splendor. This is followed by a musical discovery: the lively Sonata No. 1 in D by Franz Anton Maichelbeck, a composer who bridges the gap between baroque and classical music.

At the heart of the concert is the master of the Baroque, Johann Sebastian Bach. Christoph Hauser will play the poignant chorale arrangement "An Wasserflüssen Babylon" BWV 653b from the 18 Leipzig Chorales as well as the monumental Praeludium and Fugue in B minor BWV 544, a work of deep emotional expressiveness and virtuoso brilliance.

A special highlight is the organ arrangement of the famous "Dance of the Knights" from Sergei Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet", arranged by the soloist himself.
