Welcome to a musical-cabaret journey through time with "Chanson-Nette" Jeannette Urzendowsky and Tobias Bartholmeß on the piano back to the years when Claire Waldoff became a stage star. "What the men can do, we've been able to do for a long time - and maybe a whole lot more!" sang Claire in the mid-twenties. Jeannette Urzendowsky, a "Berlin plant", does not imitate Claire, but rather recalls the comedienne, who was born in 1884, in her own way. Popular chansons, rarer songs and stories from Claire's life fill this evening for all fans of intelligent, timeless humor.
Jewish artists created and performed a number of Waldoff chansons, many of which were persecuted by the Nazis. This is why the tribute to Claire is also an "evening against forgetting".
