Björn Diemel is a lawyer and his most important client Dragan Sergowicz is a major criminal with far-reaching business interests. The demands on Björn are correspondingly high. In order to save his marriage, he is persuaded to attend a mindfulness seminar. When he has to combine looking after his daughter with helping his client to escape, Dragan becomes a victim of the conflict of interest. Björn has to conceal his death and dispose of the body at the same time. Suddenly, the lawyer finds himself at the center of a gang war that lands him in increasingly reckless situations. Even his daughter's kindergarten is targeted by the competing mafia gangs. But despite all the drama, the rules of caution must always be observed.

Karsten Dusse's novels about the lawyer Björn Diemel have achieved cult status and have long since found their way into the theater. With their quirky characters and macabre humor, they are ideal for crime comedies that play with all the set pieces of the genre with relish. In Low German, they take on a character all of their own.
