ACID TONGUE is an American garage band heavily influenced by classic soul, punk and psychedelic rock. Formed in a dank Seattle basement in 2015, the band immediately went on tour across the US and Europe to hone their unique brand of rock and roll.

The band consists of a core duo - singer/songwriter Guy Keltner and drummer/vocalist Ian Cunningham - as well as numerous touring and studio musicians scattered between Paris, New York, London, Mexico City and Los Angeles, with a rotating lineup that seems to get bigger by the day.

In 2015, Acid Tongue founded their own label, Freakout Records, and in 2017 the band released their debut album, aptly titled BABIES. The album is a soulful, stony, heartfelt take on modern psychedelia. Their second album, 2020's BULLIES, builds on the themes of their debut and cements the band as the Pacific Northwest's most unique garage rock owners. For their third studio album ARBORETUM, the band recruited veterans of the psychedelic rock scene during production, resulting in top-notch collaborations with artists like Death Valley Girls, Naked Giants and Canadian singer Calvin Love.

LUXURY COMMUNISM formed in Düsseldorf during the Covid pandemic in early 2021. Originally brought together as a quartet in jam sessions, they quickly realized their musical and personal harmony.

Despite the challenges of the lockdown, the band used the time to deepen their music and shape their unique sound of indie and surf rock. Driving beats, soaring guitar riffs and profound lyrics characterize their compositions. The band's influences include the Beatles, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Mac DeMarco.

With members from different countries - Jack from the UK, Victor from Moldova, Mouloud from Algeria and Düsseldorf-born Natalie - Luxury Communism brings a diverse cultural perspective to their music.

Since the summer of 2021, they have been conquering the stages of Düsseldorf, from small clubs to charity events in aid of refugees. Their performances at Irish pub O'Reillys, Koyote Club and most recently at Zakk have increased their local fan base.

Despite their serious musical approach, they always maintain a relaxed and humorous atmosphere on stage. This connection to the audience, coupled with their musical quality, makes Luxury Communism an unforgettable experience.

The release of their debut EP "Luxury Communism" in May 2023 marked a milestone after 1.5 years of collaboration. With music videos that have already reached tens of thousands of clicks on YouTube, they are now striving to reach their audience beyond the borders of Düsseldorf.

In October 2024, the band went on their first tour, including in Freiburg, Tübingen, Paris and Prague. At the beginning of 2025, "LuxCom" released new singles, most recently in May; all new songs will be played at Ratinger Hof.
