53rd traditional Christmas morning pint

Every year again!
Since the alternative cultural center Fabrik was founded, a Christmas morning pint with the "Old Merry Tale Jazzband" has been held there every year. We are very proud of this tradition. The Christmas morning pint was and is a huge success: in 1994 it brought the Fabrik a record number of visitors. Many of our fans got to know this jazz concert as children, and we still welcome young listeners today.

At this year's Frühschoppen on 14 December, both MERRY TALE jazz bands will join forces to provide a varied program and a great atmosphere.

Addi Münster's Old Merry Tale Jazzband brings together musicians from different generations who are united above all by their interest in and enjoyment of traditional jazz music.

However, the repertoire and the arrangements give the individual jazz musicians a great deal of freedom to bring in and express their own musical and stylistic preferences. This is also attractive for younger up-and-coming talent and strengthens the joy of playing for the whole band. Intelligent understudies and illustrious guests also bring the program to life.

It is also important that, where possible, each musician performs one or two songs themselves. More and more often, Addi, the outstanding entertainer, temporarily cedes his role as frontman to his colleagues. This constantly creates new situations and "stories" that allow even the most seasoned fans to experience their OMTJ family anew.
