The aDevantgarde - Festival of Composers is taking place for the 18th time this summer. Alexander Strauch and Markus Lehmann-Horn have put together a program that focuses on the concept of beauty. What is beautiful, in new music and in general? Which concepts go beyond mere questions of taste today? In this sense, aDevantgarde #18 invites you to a very beautiful festival.

World premieres by Tobias PM Schneid, Margareta Ferek-Petric, Christian Dieck and works by Iris ter Schiphorst, Tomasz Skweres, Georg Haider and Hans Abrahamsen

The Munich Chamber Orchestra (MKO) presents world premieres that deal with the extreme sides of beauty: Tobias PM Schneid represents an expressionist and Christian Dieck a neo-romantic approach, while Margareta Ferek-Petric stands for pronounced extended playing techniques and elements of free south-eastern European music-making with works for string orchestra and solo harp. The program also includes works by Iris ter Schiphorst, Tomasz Skweres, Georg Haider and Hans Abrahamsen. With the use of the harp - the "angel instrument" - an instrument is used that is filled with beauty in different values. This gives rise to a wide variety of approaches and
approaches and approaches to the motto.
