Two people living in an old minivan? Felix thinks it's a great idea. He doesn't mind at first that it's all due to a lack of money because his mother can't find a job and they need a roof over their heads. But the planned one-off adventure turns into everyday reality, summer becomes fall and clever excuses become a tangled web of lies. Felix realizes that he has to act. How good that he can count on his friendship with Dylan and Winnie and their unshakeable belief in a happy ending!

The Junge ^{Staatstheater+} brings the award-winning novel by Canadian author Susin Nielsen to the stage of the TiF - Theater im Fridericianum for the first time. Directed by Franziska Stuhr, the play playfully deals with the big questions of security in our society, precarious living conditions, truth and appearance and, last but not least, family and friendship.

Franziska Stuhr studied theater directing at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. She has been working as a freelance director since 2019, including at Oldenburgisches Staatstheater, Junges Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Bühnen Bern and as a radio play director for Deutschlandfunk Kultur. She has an ongoing collaboration with stage and costume designer Anna Brandstätter, with whom she brought Pippi Longstocking to the Staatstheater Kassel in 2023.

Introductions to school performances take place 30 minutes before the start in the TiF foyer. After the performance, there is the opportunity for a discussion.
