In Afrotopia, Jenaba Samura examines ideas of sex, gender and sexuality in pre-colonial African societies. Jenaba Samura (she/her/hers) is a freelance author, podcast host and presenter,
She is always working at the intersection of theater/politics.
Jenaba's main topics are colonial constructions of gender and sexuality as well as the effects of racism on mental health. As a doctoral candidate in literary studies, she is currently researching imaginations of a Black Europe in the project "Black Narratives of Transcultural Appropriation".
She previously studied Gender and Postcolonial Studies in Göttingen and London.
